Commenting Policy

All comments are welcome, but we do reserve the right to delete comments that we find beyond reasonable limits.

The Christian Watershed exists in order to facilitate intellectual discourse. In this we love comments that disagree with us so long as those comments are respectful and well-thought out. Simple one-liners of disagreement, arguing in circles, or a refusal to deal with the central point of the article will generally serve as grounds to have a thread closed or have yourself banned from posting. What will result in being immediately banned and having your comment deleted is trolling a topic.

While we understand that we may never agree on some things, we would hope that a rational discussion could develop from our disagreement. Commenters that show a refusal to develop a rational discussion are subject to be treated as trolls, meaning comments will be deleted, and continued posting will lead to a ban on posting.

Of course, all of the above is only in extreme examples. Since 2007, only five posters have been banned and only two topics closed. So we look forward to your input here and hope you enjoy the discussions.
